The MUST HAVE iPhone 16 / 16 Pro Accessories

All right, so the new iPhone 16 was just announced and you’re probably wondering which accessories should I get. Well, let’s talk about it. These are the must-have accessories for your new iPhone.

Protect Your Device: Cases and Insurance

First, let’s talk about cases. In today’s day and age, phones have become incredibly expensive, so you want to make sure that you are protecting yours while also not making it too bulky. So, you should purchase a case that is both protective and slim.

Taking a look at your screen right now, I am a huge fan of these cases that incorporate both of those facets. There are so many different ones and you can even get the Apple silicon case, which admittedly I’ve heard is not very protective. The other ones I’ve listed on the screen and in the description are a bit more durable, but I rock the Apple silicon case on my iPhone and have experienced no issues with it, and it’s definitely a nice looking accessory.

Consider Insurance Plans

Now, if you’re not a fan of cases in general, I would instead recommend investing in some sort of iPhone insurance plan, like either Apple Care or your carrier’s insurance. Now, these are a lot more expensive—I mean a lot—but for bumps, bruises, cracks, and whatnot, which still can occur even if you have a case, you can replace your phone at a fraction of the cost. But again, this is something that’s really expensive, so I just suggest getting a case and the next accessory to protect your device.

Screen Protectors

The next recommendation I have is a screen protector. This, in my opinion, is a must-buy for most users out there. It will guard your screen from any potential damage it may incur when you drop it, and it won’t ruin the viewing experience.

You can even get ones with privacy shields, making your phone screen only viewable from the front to prevent any opposing onlookers. There are so many screen protectors on the market with some that rock warranties and others that are just fairly cost-effective, so if they break, you can get them again. I’d say just go with the ones that have the highest reviews and don’t cost an arm and a leg, because if they break, you could just buy another instead of needing to pay a whole lot of money for your screen protector.

Power and Charging Essentials

Notably, one thing that Apple has stopped shipping with the iPhones is the charging brick. For your new iPhone 16 or 16 Pro, you will need one of those to get by. Purchasing either the Apple-made brick or one from another company will enable you to charge your phone super fast with a high-wattage charger.

Long Cables and Power Banks

Pairing with that charger, I’d also recommend a longer cable. If you’re going to be using your phone a lot, you’ll definitely need an extension cable so you don’t have to awkwardly sit by your charger. Something like a 10-ft cable is perfect for getting by on a daily basis.

And another charger—yes I know, so many—but this is used so often by my friends in college in real life after a long day out: a power bank. Bringing a power bank along with you wherever you go is a game-changer, so you won’t need to worry about your phone not having enough battery. You can just pop it on the back with MagSafe or plug it in and you’re all good to go. Super simple, super easy, and super important.

Audio and Desk Accessories

Another super important accessory I’d recommend would be some earbuds. You probably already have or want them anyway, but Apple has just announced the new AirPods 4s which will be super rad with even some potential hearing aid assistance at a nice price. Or, you can get even more cost-effective earbuds like the ones on your screen.

Lastly, one other suggestion I would have, which potentially you can use a lot, would be a stand. Having your phone on a stand while on your desk or at work can make using it just a bit easier and add that extra convenience that you’ll likely want.

That was my list of the best accessories for your new iPhone 16. What do you think? Are there any more you’d add? Let me know in the comments section down below. My name is Cyrus. It’s spelled like “Cyrus,” but not spelled like “Rooster,” just take out the T. Thank you very much for reading, and have a wonderful day. Peace.
