So, it’s been just over a month since I purchased the Apple Watch Series 11, and I’ve been asked multiple times, is it worth it? Well, let’s talk about it. This is the Apple Watch Series 11, one month later.
Overview and First Impressions
The Apple Watch Series 11 is Apple’s newest, most popular watch, released September 2025, starting at $400, coming in multiple colors and two different sizes. I chose the 42mm option in space black with its corresponding band color, and it looks great. It matches all of my clothes, doesn’t scream for attention, and is very usable on a daily basis.
Apple touts a stronger screen for this watch compared to the previous generation, but I still slapped a case on it for protection, and I couldn’t be happier. 1 month later, no scratches, bruises, nothing. Just like new, despite the fact that, well, I use this watch every day and night. This Apple Watch I use as a normal watch in addition to a workout buddy, my sleep tracker, and even as a sort of phone replacement.
Daily Utility and Workout Tracking
Let’s get into my experience. Using the Apple Watch as a normal watch has been perfectly fine. It works great, especially while I’m at work to keep track of the time for my patients and to asssure that I’m always on top of things. As a watch, this works well. But you wouldn’t buy the Apple Watch just to be a normal watch. It’s more than that.
As my workout buddy, it’s great. It tracks all of my workouts when I set them, and it accurately counts my calories and keeps me updated on my heart rate. It even knows when I’m done with my workout based on my heart rate. That’s really awesome. I hope in the future some way somehow it can also know when I’m starting a workout because there are times that I have forgotten to turn it on while I’m already in the middle of what I’m doing. But that’s fine since it still keeps track of your heart rate throughout the day. So, it’ll still count your exercise accurately.
Sleep Tracking and Health Insights
Now, as my sleep tracker, I love this thing. It truly keeps me posted on how well I’m sleeping on a nightly basis. Apple introduced sleep score with the series 11 which basically tells you about your sleep hygiene and I really like that feature although it is a bit simple but you can always go into Apple’s sleep tracking app and deep dive into how well you slept. The watch breaks your sleep into multiple stages and you can look into those to see how well you slept using that information. It’s super fun and really allows you to deep dive into your own health. I like that a lot.
Phone Replacement and Siri Challenges
And one other thing I really like about the watch is it’s in a lot of ways my phone replacement. I’m someone who really doesn’t like pulling out my phone. It’s always been a bit of a hassle for me for whatever reason. So, if I am pulling out my phone, I have to do more than just check one text. And this watch really makes things more convenient for me. I can check my texts and notifications, respond to said text messages, and answer phone calls with it. The answering text part, admittedly, is really tough for me to do, so I usually just talk to my watch to get it to text. But otherwise, this thing is a great semihone replacement, even though I didn’t get the cellular version.
Now, one thing I have not liked about the Apple Watch since I got it about a month ago is Siri. She is incredibly cool when Apple released her over a decade ago, but now she really needs an update. She’s close. She definitely can hear me well, but she’s held back by her current programming. If Apple were to just take the brakes off of her and allow me to ask her, for example, directions to multiple places and questions specifically about those places, she would rival so many voice assistants. But at the moment, she’s just all right. Not that useful, but sometimes helpful when in a pinch.
Final Verdict
And I think a lot of my frustrations with Siri is honestly because of how well this watch has integrated itself into my life. It’s expensive and I definitely had some buyer remorse when I placed the order, but after using it and learning about all of the features that it actually conveniently helps me with, I couldn’t be happier. It’s a compliment to my phone. It makes my workouts more accurate to track, and it makes my sleep infinitely more comprehensible. It’s a health tracker device on top of being a great watch. And that’s why I’m happy with it one month later.
So, what do you think of the Apple Watch Series 11? Will you be buying it? My name is Cirus. It’s spelled like Cyrus, pronounced like C rooster, just take out the tur. Thank you very much for reading and have a wonderful day.
