All right we’re going over a low profile budget gaming laptop the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3. Is it worth it this is everything you need to know to find out so let’s go over the raw stats.
Laptop Overview and Specs
The IdeaPad Gaming 3 is Lenovo’s budget gaming laptop with many solid features starting at a reasonable 740 dollars and is often on sale more on that in a little bit. The first thing to note is the form factor the laptop has a 15.6 inch screen that’s actually impressive. It’s IPS and 120 Hertz so um not bad it’s also 1080p which isn’t terrible.
Connectivity and Portability
Speaking of not terrible connectivity i mean look at the list it’s got a ton of ports which can cover a lot such as a monitor and a few accessories to power those accessories.
Internal Performance
The internal specs are pretty satisfactory and can play a lot of games the Ryzen 5 5600H and the GTX 1650. However before anyone says anything there are of course better performing laptops out there but not many at the same price range.
But one thing to note eight gigabytes of RAM is a little low so keep that in mind because multitasking might be a little difficult. However since this is a gaming laptop the RAM is upgradable so you can purchase an extra stick at your leisure. And with all of that said here are the benchmarks compared to other laptops and compared to other laptops the laptop’s storage is 256 gigabytes which is good but it probably can’t store a lot of games.
Thankfully you can get an external SSD and even upgrade the storage but here’s something to note the battery is kinda subpar and maybe even kinda bad. This is because gaming laptops are not expected to be gamed on without a power input think of them more like mobile desktops. So if you wanna play on this laptop for extended periods of time make sure it’s connected to power. Also the webcam like many other gaming laptops is eh but it does come with a built-in cover and lastly the laptop runs Windows 11.
Reviewer Feedback and Criticisms
And now before we get on to my verdict hear what the reviewer said about this laptop the IdeaPad Gaming 3 was praised for its design performance and keyboard and it was criticized for its backlight bleed lack of connectivity and screen wobble.
Verdict: Is the IdeaPad Gaming 3 Right for You?
So is this laptop worth it like how does it compare to the others well like i said its specs aren’t necessarily better than every one of them but that price is kind of hard to beat. Besides this laptop there are few that come close to this affordability one of which is the Acer Nitro 5 which actually can have superior specs at a similar price but is far more gamery.
So if you want a low profile budget gaming laptop the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is a good bet because it’s great for those who want a game and do work and not stand out. I thoroughly appreciate its subtlety as a gaming laptop because i really don’t like things that scream gamer and i think many other people do as well. So i’d say it’s a good laptop with a great price especially when it’s on sale.
As a result i actually got the IdeaPad Gaming 3 as a gift now no promises on when but you might see a review of this laptop on this channel coming soon so stay tuned. But until then ultimately all of this is your decision based on your preferences.
