So, Apple is releasing a ton of new products this month with some exciting new updates and some interesting ones.
iPhone 17 Lineup Updates
The iPhone is getting another refresh. The starter iPhone 17 allegedly potentially getting the 120 Hz refresh rate, which sounds actually super exciting for those who don’t buy the Pros. The high refresh rate screen on the phone is a really nice feature, making all movement much smoother.
It’s really nice to see that Apple is following suit. There’s also the potential for these starter iPhone models to have the display sizes match the Pro models. Much nicer screens all around for the starter versions. And the starter models might even get better cameras, 24 megapixels to be exact.
The chipset for the starter iPhones will likely be the A18 chips, which are very powerful and will be able to handle everything you throw for a long time. Price-wise, it’s uncertain whether Apple will increase the iPhone 17 price or not given the current situation with the economy.
iPhone 17 Pro Models
It’s looking like the Pro models might receive a total external refresh. I’ve also heard that the new 17 Pro models might not sport titanium exteriors anymore. The iPhone 17 Pro models will receive upgrades in both the chip and RAM departments, likely the A19 Processors, and up to 12 GB of RAM.
All iPhones will also receive the fun yet also divisive iOS 26. This new one is coming with liquid glass, which has the widgets that are translucent.
The iPhone 17 Air
This is the new thinnest iPhone ever, which is actually super thin. But that does come at a cost with a smaller battery and single camera lens. The only really significant issue is whether this will bend without a case when put into your pocket. The phone is looking to be priced around $799 to $899.
AirPods and Audio
Let’s talk about the new AirPods, the AirPods Pro 3. It doesn’t seem like the AirPods will experience that extreme of an upgrade besides just small improvements here and there, such as a more compact design and better noise cancellation.
Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3
The Apple Watch 11 shouldn’t be too big of an upgrade. No facelift or anything crazy would be expected besides maybe better screen technology. There is the potential for blood oxygen tracking and even blood pressure monitoring.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 will also receive those potential software upgrades in addition to potential battery life upgrades and just general charging speed improvements as well. The Apple Watch SE3 is coming in as well with potentially two different sizes, but definitely a much cheaper cost compared to the other options.
Additional Potential Releases
There is also the potential for both an upgraded Apple TV and HomePod as well, but there isn’t any solid information on these, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Those are all of the currently rumored products Apple is releasing in September for its event scheduled for Tuesday, September 9th, 2025.
